Minimum requirements


The minimum requirements for installing and using Matrox Design Assistant X Version 1905 as follows:

  • A computer with:

    • At least 720 MB of free hard disk space (for installing Matrox Design Assistant). If the .NET frameworks and both design-time and runtime modes need to be installed, up to 2.3 GB might be required.

    • Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit) with SP1, Microsoft Windows 8 or 8.1 (64-bit), or Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit).

    • A browser supporting HTML5 (for example, Microsoft Internet Explorer 11, Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome).

    • A CPU that supports the SSE2 instruction set.

This product works with a supported Matrox smart camera, GigE Vision cameras, and/or USB3 Vision cameras.

Software requirements for Matrox Design Assistant Help

To run Matrox Design Assistant Help, you will need Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7.0.

Matrox Design Assistant Help requires JavaScript to display correctly. Ensure that a recent version of Java is installed, and that JavaScript is enabled in your browser.

Additional notes

In addition to the details above, consider the following:

  • If you are using GigE/USB3 Vision cameras, you will need sufficient Network Interface Controllers (NICs) that support Jumbo packets to handle the bandwidth of your cameras.

  • Administrator privileges on your computer are necessary.
