MONTREAL – October 21, 2016 — At the inaugural NAB Show New York (New York, Nov. 9–10, booth 1451), Matrox is showcasing the comprehensive line-up of Matrox DSX™ Developer Products. Focused on the transition to an IP based infrastructure, Matrox will demonstrate the new X.mio3 IP multi-channel video I/O over 10GbE card and the recently expanded family of Matrox M264 multi-channel 4:2:2 10-bit H.264 encoder cards. The Monarch product line will also be on display. These easy to use H.264 encoding appliances that accept video from either SDI or HDMI sources will be highlighted in a number of streaming and recording workflows.

Generating H.264-encoded video streams at bitrates from 200 Kbps to 30 Mbps, Matrox Monarch appliances have powerful scaling, deinterlacing, and noise-reduction engines which ensure only pristine images are sent to the internal encoders. For streaming purposes, the encoders use either RTMP or RTSP protocol to deliver live streams to local or cloud-based media servers. In recording, the encoders write MP4 or MOV files to local USB drives, SD cards, or network-mapped drives for post-event editing or archiving.

The X.mio3 IP is an all new, multi-channel video I/O over 10GbE card with onboard video processing to help broadcast equipment manufacturers meet the challenges of the SDI to IP transition. A half-height, half-length PCI Express card, the X.mio3 IP offers multi-channel video I/O over 10 GbE plus onboard compositing, de-interlacing and up/down/cross scaling to free up CPU and GPU resources. It provides IP encapsulation of HD, 3G and 4K video for all IP transport protocols including SMPTE 2022-6, ASPEN, VSF TR-04, VSF TR-03 and Sony IP as well as support for an array of compression technologies including J2K, Sony LLVC and TICO to ensure interoperability with upstream and downstream equipment.

Matrox M264 is the ideal family of multi-channel 4:2:2 10-bit H.264 encoder cards for OEMs who need to add IP streaming capabilities to channel-in-a-box systems, video servers, broadcast graphics systems, multiviewers and switchers or create high-density encoders, transcoders and other broadcast media equipment.
