Summary of the position

The Continuous Improvement team's mandate is to improve working methods as well as reduce cycle times, rework, rejects and production costs. Its focus is to identify opportunities for improvement, develop software requirements and coordinate the corporate continuous improvement program. This broad and dynamic mandate presents various challenges for an Industrial engineer who wishes to make use of his experience and creativity and thrives in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for improvement;
  • Lead improvement projects related to the supply chain and more specifically for production;
  • Development of IT requirements for existing or new systems;
  • Use of six sigma techniques in the execution of projects (Kaizen, Ishikawa, KPI, etc.);
  • Create documentation and train stakeholders following the implementation of projects;
  • Lead work teams in on various improvement projects;
  • Design of various workstation;
  • Process introduction and validation with our partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Automated Production Engineering, Operations Management or any other combination of education / relevant experience;
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in similar functions;
  • Experience in improving costs / delays / production failures, developing and using KPIs and improvement project management (DMAIC);
  • Good knowledge of process engineering, systems engineering, production line design and group management;
  • Good communicator, organized, curious with a strong analytical and summarizing skills;
  • Some travel (<10% of the time);
  • Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.

Assets

  • Experience in high technology production;
  • Knowledge of the Office suite (including Visio), Arena and MS Project;
  • Lean six sigma green belt / black belt certification.
