Job Title: EMC Test Engineer

As an Electromagnetic Compatibility Test Engineer working inan internationally recognized and ISO17025-accredited test laboratory your tasks will consist mainly of performing tests. Reporting to the Conformity Group manager, your primary responsibilities will be:

Matrox compliance activities:
  • Communicate with all other Conformity group members;
  • Interact with Conformity group customers, essentially every other Matrox group, from all divisions;
  • Act as the conformity group manager substitute in his absence;
  • Actively participate in manufacturing reviews to prevent EMC problems before products are released;
  • Verify every PCB prior to release for possible EMC problems

EMC lab activities:
  • Perform EMC tests;
  • Draft EMC test reports;
  • Perform ISO-accredited internal test equipment calibration;
  • Maintain knowledge about EMC standards evolution and changes;
  • Spread information about the specifications and standards related to EMC;
  • Help in EMC debugging of problematic products;
  • Perform non-accredited tests to electrical efficiency standards;
  • Accompany products tested in third-party laboratories;
  • Help the lab manager perform country-specific EMC laboratory test site calibrations and characterizations;
  • Support the lab manager during internal and external quality and competence assessments;
  • Offer support to engineering, marketing, sales and tech support for all questions regarding EMC compliance;
  • Perform any othertaskrelated to Matrox activities


  • You have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering;
  • You are familiar with electromagnetism, electronics and computer hardware;
  • You love solving problems and adapt easily to various situations;
  • You work equally well in a team and individually and have strong inter-personal skills;
  • You are detail-oriented and value quality in your work;
  • You thrive when working in a rigorous regulatory context;
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel is essential;
  • Bilingual (French and English), especially in writing;
  • OIQ membership, programming skills (VB, C, etc.) and RF experience are assets
