Position Summary

The Inside sales representative holds the challenging role of using his/her technical expertise to achieve customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. He or she has to be comfortable making and receiving many calls daily, and helping in the process of closing sales.

The inside sales representative is responsible to qualify leads from various sources, rate their interests, determine the timeframe of the project and pass on the qualified leads to the regional sales manager or representative/distributor.

The inside sales representative must understand customer needs and requirements to be able to serve them better. He or she delivers a consistent and clear proposition message on the company's products, as a tool to increase the customer's interest level towards them.

Responsibilities:
  • Qualify all sales leads by telephone or email;
  • Insure prospect receives info or items they were inquiring about. Including any documentation or software for evaluation;
  • Dispatch qualified leads to most appropriate channel (Rep/Disti or Integrator);
  • Follow up on all leads, track and provide feedback to help focus marketing activities. Identify "lost" opportunities;
  • Help to identify contacts and perform "cold" calls on target companies;
  • Provide telephone backup when salespeople are on the road;
  • Service a sales "hotline";
  • Any other related task which can offload the Sales team;
  • Accomplish the Sales Coordinators' tasks when they are absent.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in commerce, marketing, engineering or related field;
  • Experience in technical sales and support, customer service and/or computer hardware;
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
