The Inside sales representative holds the challenging role of using his technical expertise to achieve customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. He or she has to be comfortable making and receiving many calls daily, and helping in the process of closing sales.

The inside sales representative is responsible to find prospective customers, rate their interests and determine whether they have means to purchase the product. He or she might sometimes be required to act as a hybrid of inside and outside sales; and as such may be required occasionally to travel for tradeshows.

The inside sales representative must understand customer needs and requirements to be able to serve them better. He or she delivers a consistent and clear proposition message on the company's products, as a tool to increase the customer's interest level towards them.


  • Help close sales, by effectively qualifying leads and routing to the appropriate sales team member;
  • Identify key potential customers and generate interest;
  • Build and expand the company's customer database, including identifying potential opportunities;
  • Create and maintain collaboration with channel partners in developing, building pipeline, and closing deals;
  • Provide prospects with online demos;
  • Work together with and provide support for field sales;
  • Present sales status reports on a weekly basis;
  • Act as the primary internal point of contact for customers in the absence of Sales managers;
  • Perform outbound emails and calls, and inbound lead generation and follow-up;
  • Assist in widening brand recognition through the use of the social media and the traditional means of advertising;
  • Engage in cold-calling of potential buyers/clients and contact current ones;
  • Attend sales training, as will be required;
  • Travel for tradeshows may be required.


Degree in commerce, marketing, engineering or related field;

Experience in technical sales and support, customer service and/or computer hardware;

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word;

Excellent command of written and spoken English and French;

Ability to speak and write in Spanish is considered an asset.
