Description

We are looking for an intern with good PC hardware and operating system knowledge to work within our professional technical support team.

Our professional customer base depends on a problem free, reliable computer system. Time is money. Should a technical issue occur, or should a client need assistance, this is where you will excel. Being a member of our professional technical support team requires that you be a dynamic, energetic, and friendly individual. In a position where you will be dealing directly with our clients, you will learn the technical skill sets required to resolve issues in a professional and accurate manner.

This is not a call center. This is a support center for professionals.

You will be actively involved in treating customer support enquires via email and phone. You will manage and own each support inquiry until resolved.

RESPONSABILITIES:

You will be responsible for;
  • Resolving hardware or software problems of our clients and re-seller
  • Troubleshooting via telephone, e-mail
  • Be responsible for determining if a product is defective (approve RMA request)
  • Document all client interactions using a database in order to maintain a history of our clients and their problems
  • Gather data on each client during your interaction
  • Escalate unresolved cases to your Supervisor/Manager
  • Misc. project assignments. (Setup up reproduction labs, complex configurations, etc..)

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • First year student
  • Bachelor's degree student in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer science or other related domain;
  • Good experience with the Windows environment;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Well organized and meticulous;
  • Ability to communicate in French and English, verbally and in written form.
  • The following will be considered an asset:
  • Good knowledge of Linux operating systems;
  • Networking and/or digital video experience;
