Matrox at NAB 2018 — Product Preview

MONTREAL — March 29, 2018 —At NAB 2018, Matrox® (booth SL4524) will present a comprehensive range of products designed to impact today’s—and tomorrow’s—most demanding broadcast and enterprise applications. The Extio 3 IP KVM extender will demonstrate unrivaled 4Kp60 extension and switching at low-bitrates, while the SRT-ready, Maevex 6150 quad 4K enterprise encoder will showcase industry-leading, multi-HD/4K streaming and recording—both on standard 1 GbE networks. In addition, the complete portfolio of Monarch streaming and recording appliances will highlight a variety of lecture capture, social media broadcasting, and live streaming workflows, while a new multi-4K SMPTE ST 2110 network card will also be making its debut at the show.

SRT will also be hosting a free SRT Panel Discussion on April 10 at 2:00 p.m., where attendees will learn about the benefits of using SRT for a variety of video streaming workflows—on an ever-expanding streaming media ecosystem that now includes over 100 SRT Alliance members.

The ground-breaking encoder is also SRT-ready, now supporting the new video transport protocol for internet streaming—alongside the existing RTMP, RTSP, RTP, and MPEG2-TS offerings. The all-in-one Maevex 6150 appliance can feed on-premises and cloud-based servers to reach internet viewers, push many streams over LAN for local audiences, and record to local or network storage for later editing and viewing, concurrently.
