Matrox Maevex 7100, 6100 and 5100 Series
To take advantage of the latest PowerStream Plus software features, you need the latest Maevex firmware.Both the PowerStream Plus software and Maevex firmware need to be updated. These are two separate required installations.
Please note: For new deployments, IP addresses must be assigned to Maevex units. The Maevex PowerStream Plus application must be installed on a system within the Maevex subnet and the network must initially include a DHCP service in order to properly assign IP addresses to the units and then perform a Maevex firmware update.
Maevex PowerStream Plus Software and Firmware for 7100, 6100 and 5100 Series
Your Matrox Maevex product may ship with an older firmware version. Before using your Maevex product, you must update the firmware version installed on your devices to use the version of your deployed release. All Maevex devices on a Maevex network must use the same version of the firmware package. Your firmware package version must also match the package version of your PowerStream Plus software. Depending on the model of your new Maevex device, you may need to move up to a minimum level of Maevex PowerStream Plus Software and Firmware package - please see below for details. Note that the firmware revision will not be the same for the Maevex 5100 devices, 6100 devices and 7100 devices and this is supported as long as they are from the same firmware installation package. Minimum required level of Maevex PowerStream Plus Software and Firmware:
- Maevex 7112A and 7112H Encoders = Maevex PowerStream Plus Software and Firmware v. 4.00.00.032
- Maevex 6122/6152 Encoders & Decoders (new P/Ns with added "2" suffix) = Maevex PowerStream Plus Software and Firmware v. 3.02.00.383
- Maevex 6152 Decoder = Maevex PowerStream Plus Software and Firmware v. 3.00.01.005
- Maevex 6152 and 6122 Encoders = Maevex PowerStream Plus Software and Firmware v. 3.01.00.229

New P/Ns with added "2" suffix will be supported on Maevex SW/FW versions 3.02 and up, and will be interoperable with devices built under previous part numbers if they are also programmed with Maevex SW/FW versions 3.02 and up.
