Matrox Monarch LCS — Lecture Capture Appliance

Matrox Monarch LCS makes its European debut at IBC 2016, showcasing powerful lecture capture capabilities in a stand-alone appliance. An easy-to-use lecture capture device priced at just €2495, the Monarch LCS accepts video from any SDI or HDMI camera and presentation content from computers over HDMI. Inputs can be encoded independently and in sync, with the resulting encoded streams usable with the latest multi-stream video players. Alternatively, before encoding, inputs can be combined in a variety of layouts for use with standard video players, including picture-in-picture and side-by-side. IT administrators will find Monarch LCS simple to set up and integrate into video management systems (VMS), such as Opencast and Kaltura, and learning management systems (LMS) such as Moodle. For streaming purposes, the encoders use either RTMP or RTSP protocols to deliver live streams to local media servers or cloud-based CDNs. In recording applications, LCS writes H.264 encoded MP4 or MOV files directly to network-mapped drives, eliminating the need for post-lecture file transfer, or, alternatively, to local USB drives or SD cards. Monarch LCS comes complete with a comprehensive set of HTTP-based control APIs to create customized user interfaces.

Matrox VS4Recorder Pro — Multi-Camera Recording App

Matrox VS4Recorder Pro is designed for use with Matrox VS4™ quad HD capture cards. Each VS4Recorder Pro system frame-accurately captures up to four video and audio inputs to create files for use with popular editing apps from Adobe, Apple, and Avid as well as for video archiving. H.264 is provided in either MOV or MP4 wrappers. AVI files can be created using the high-quality Matrox MPEG 2 I-Frame codec. MOV QuickTime files can be created using DV, DVCPRO, DVCPRO50, and DVCPRO HD. VS4Recorder Pro also functions as a multiviewer, offering pristine video quality even when monitoring interlaced sources on progressive computer monitors. VS4-based systems are also ideal for multi-camera live production streaming with Telestream® Wirecast® for Windows®.

Matrox Monarch™ HDX Broadcast Streaming and Recording Appliance

Matrox Monarch HDX — Dual-Channel Broadcast Streaming and Recording Appliance

Matrox Monarch HDX is a compact, easy-to-use, dual-channel H.264 encoding appliance. Designed for complete workflow flexibility, Monarch HDX features 3G-SDI and HDMI inputs with frame synchronization to compensate for unstable sources. Two independent H.264 encoders provide redundancy or can be set to stream and/or record at individual settings. Monarch HDX is packed with features that make it ideal for broadcasters, event producers, medical facilities, CDNs, educational institutions, houses of worship, corporate communicators, and legal videographers. From any SDI or HDMI input source, such as a camera or switcher, Matrox Monarch HDX generates two H.264-encoded video streams at bitrates from 200 Kbps to 30 Mbps. Powerful scaling, deinterlacing, and noise-reduction engines ensure only pristine images are sent to the encoders. For streaming purposes, the encoders use either RTMP or RTSP protocol to deliver live streams to local or cloud-based media servers. In recording applications, the encoders write MP4 or MOV files to local USB drives, SD cards, or network-mapped drives for post-event editing or archiving. An additional dedicated H.264 encoder provides a remote preview of the input.
