AMSTERDAM – September 6, 2012 — Matrox today announced support for Telestream Wirecast 4.2 for Windows across the entire line of Matrox MXO2 capture devices. Matrox MXO2 devices are the ideal portable capture solutions for streaming live events from wherever they are happening. News, sports, concerts, educational seminars, religious services, and corporate meetings are just a few of the many types of live events where an MXO2 device comes in handy for creating internet broadcasts. Their convenient form factors let users stream from anywhere there is an internet connection – in studio, on set, in the field, and in OB vans. Matrox MXO2 devices not only send a video feed to Wirecast for streaming, they simultaneously create a high-quality recording of the original video and audio feed on disk – ready for post-event editing.
“Matrox is the first company to use the newly released Wirecast source SDK to provide tightly integrated support of Wirecast with their capture devices,” said Barbara DeHart, vice president of marketing at Telestream. “The result is a highly reliable and robust streaming solution at a very affordable price.”
“Wirecast users are sure to find the exact digital and analog video and audio connectivity they need in the versatile MXO2 product line,” said Wayne Andrews, product manager at Matrox. “They will also appreciate that they can connect any MXO2 device to a computer via PCIe, ExpressCard/34, or Thunderbolt.”
Matrox MXO2 devices will be demonstrated at IBC 2012 on stand 7.B29. Wirecast will be demonstrated on the Telestream stand 7.D16.
