OEMs Can Now Capitalize on the Latest Cloud Technologies to Offer Broadcast Stations Resource-Efficient, Highly Scalable and Flexible IP Workflows
MONTREAL – Sept. 4, 2015 — Matrox® Video today announced Matrox DSX Core, a complete set of software modules for media processing in virtualized broadcast infrastructures based on the widely-used Matrox DSX SDK. Using DSX Core, OEMs can provide data-center-friendly broadcast solutions running on virtual machines that can be easily repurposed on the fly as needed. End customers can, for example, quickly deploy specialty or event-based channels without additional capital expenditure. The virtual framework maximizes ROI on existing systems while creating exciting new business opportunities.
DSX Core enables versatile file reading/writing, memory management, IP streaming, synchronization, and a large selection of software codecs and effects in virtual environments operating on commodity PC platforms.
“Broadcasters are increasingly looking to take advantage of the flexibility achievable within software-defined infrastructures,” said Alberto Cieri, senior director of sales and marketing, Matrox Video. “DSX Core comes at the right time for our OEMs to create video applications for virtualized environments.”
Matrox products will be featured at IBC2015 (Amsterdam, Sept. 11–15) on stand 7.B29.
