Highlights from IBC 2018

This was an action-packed year for us at IBC 2018!
 
Several new products were unveiled, including Matrox Monarch EDGE, a 4K contribution and remote production encoder, and two high density 12G SDI I/O cards for multi-channel 4K and HDR—Matrox X.mio5 12G and Matrox DSX LE5 12G. The showcase also featured the Matrox Video’s full range of developer products, the award-winning Matrox Monarch line of streaming and recording appliances, as well as several products from Matrox Graphics.

The X.mio5 12G card features on-board multi-channel HDR conversions along with motion adaptive de-interlacing, pristine scaling, and powerful compositing engines for high-density 4K video processing.

Matrox X.mio5 Q25 Demo at IBC 2018

Marwan Al-Habbal, product manager at Matrox Video, demonstrates the Matrox X.mio5 Q25 SMPTE 2110 network interface controller (NIC) card at IBC 2018. The X.mio5 Q25 card offer 25GbE and 10GbE interfaces for multi-channel IP video I/O from HD to 4K—with zero CPU usage—for the clearest path to IP broadcast workflows. Matrox Unveils Monarch EDGE 4K Contribution Encoder at IBC 2018

Daniel Maloney, technical marketing manager at Matrox Video, unveils Matrox Monarch EDGE at IBC 2018. Monarch EDGE is a multi-channel broadcast H.264 contribution encoder that is capable of transporting 4:2:2 10-bit video at resolutions up to 3840x2160 at 60 fps. This low-power appliance with a compact half-width 1RU footprint is equally suited as a 4K web-contribution encoder or as a remote-feed encoder for remote integration (REMI) applications.

Matrox Video participated in its fifth IP showcase at IBC 2018. In a series of show-stopping, IP-based product interoperability presentations, the Matrox X.mio5 Q25 network interface controller (NIC) card delivered multiple, game-changing 4K/UHDp60 channels over 25GbE, while the Matrox X.mio3 NIC card provided multiple broadcast resolutions running over the same 10GbE network.
