Matrox Imaging at The Vision Show — Product Preview

MONTREAL — 19 March 2018 — Matrox® Imaging will be at The Vision Show (Booth 1003) from April 10 to 12, showcasing the latest hardware and software for industrial imaging and machine vision applications. The show lineup will include the field-proven Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) 10 SDK, recently updated to include deep learning (CNN) technology, and Matrox Design Assistant 5.1, the newest version of the flowchart-based integrated development environment (IDE) software. Matrox Imaging will also debut two new frame grabbers: a Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) Power-over-Ethernet (PoE)-capable add-in card and a board for the CoaXPress® (CXP) version 2.0 standard.

 

Visit Matrox Imaging at booth 1003 as experts will be on hand to discuss a wide range of vision project requirements needing smart cameras, vision controllers, I/O cards, frame grabbers, and full-fledged software.

Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) 10

MIL is a comprehensive collection of software tools for developing machine vision applications. The MIL 10 Processing Pack 3 software update features a CPU-based image classification module, which makes use of deep learning technology. MIL 10 also includes the addition of a photometric stereo tool to bring out hard-to-spot surface anomalies and a new dedicated tool to locate rectangular features.

Matrox Design Assistant 5.1

Matrox Design Assistant is an IDE for Windows® where vision applications are created by constructing an intuitive flowchart instead of writing traditional program code. Matrox Design Assistant 5.1, the latest software version, includes new tools such as Project Change Validator—a modification-proofing utility that ensures machine vision systems uphold inspection requirements following project updates—as well as optimizations to SureDotOCR™, the dot-matrix OCR tool that improves both reading speed and robustness.

Frame Grabbers

This year at The Vision Show, Matrox Imaging will be introducing two new frame grabbers, one a multi-port GbE PoE-capable network interface card (NIC) and the other a board supporting the CXP version 2.0 standard. These new additions further extend the capabilities of a comprehensive frame grabber line-up.
