Lorne Trottier, President & Co-Founder

Lorne M. Trottier is co-founder and sole shareholder of Matrox. Since the company’s founding, Lorne has been the key player in the engineering aspect of the business, originating many of Matrox’s most prominent products. To this day, Lorne works closely with key managers and engineers and maintains an active role in product development and innovation activities at Matrox. In addition to his work in technology development at Matrox, Lorne has numerous other interests spanning various fields such as climate change, energy, astronomy, and aerospace science. A benefactor, philanthropist, engineer, businessman, and visionary leader, Lorne has devoted his life’s work to advancing science and technology. In 2019, Lorne bought out his co-founding partner in Matrox and in 2022, Lorne sold the Imaging division of Matrox to Zebra Technologies.

Aron Klein headshot

Aron Klein, Chief Operating Officer

Aron joined Matrox in 2016 as a Director; he worked closely with Lorne Trottier in the transaction that resulted in Lorne’s full acquisition of the company in 2019. After the close of the transaction, Aron maintained his role as Director of all the Matrox entities and assumed the COO role with the primary responsibility of overseeing operations of the company and implementing its business strategy. Prior to joining Matrox, Aron spent 12 years as a management consultant serving clients across many industries including IT, forestry, hospitality, retail, and consumer goods. He has held previous senior roles in financial analysis and IT management. Aron holds undergrad degrees in Finance, international business, and information systems design from McGill University and an MBA in Strategic Management from the Schulich School of Business. Outside of work, Aron enjoys running, catching a game of soccer or hockey, and spending time with his wife, two kids, and dog.

Charles Nadeau, Chief Corporate Officer

Charles was a partner at the National Canadian law firm of Stikeman Elliott LLP for over 15 years. As a commercial litigator, he represented numerous companies, public and private. He also served on many of the firm’s management committees. A long-time personal advisor to Mr. Trottier, Charles joined him at Matrox in 2019 as Chief Corporate Officer, overseeing Legal, Finance, some of Operations, and special projects. In 2016, Charles pursued leadership training through an intensive course at Harvard University. Charles was often recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada and Benchmark Canada, and he is a member of the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation Board of Directors. Long time ago, Charles played hockey in Europe, and he is now an avid tennis player!

Bruno Des Rosiers, Senior Vice President, Finance

As Senior Vice President of Finance at Matrox, Bruno oversees the company’s accounting, finance, treasury, and tax functions. Bruno has over 20 years of experience in various companies and industries, including other private technology companies. Bruno holds an Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from UQAM’s School of Management (ESG UQAM) and an MBA from Université de Sherbrooke. A chartered accountant, Bruno is also a member of the Quebec CPA Order. He’s a volunteer with the Québec chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI) Canada. In his spare time, Bruno loves spending time with his family and volunteering as a coach for different children’s sports teams in his community. He also enjoys activities such as scuba diving, cycling, and hockey.

Vincent Khoury, Senior Vice President, Global Operations

Vincent is Senior Vice President of Global Operation. His responsibilities include the Supply chain, Manufacturing, PNPI, EMC/EMI lab, Financial Analysts, IT, Production Engineering & Continuous Improvement. Since joining Matrox, he was called upon and was promoted to head a variety of roles, including Corporate Systems Manager, Director of IT Infrastructure & Security, Marketing and Vice President of Cost Centers. Vincent holds a degree in IT /Computer Science and Industrial Automation.

Isabelle Montpetit headshot

Isabelle Montpetit, Vice President, Human Resources

Isabelle is the Vice President, Human Resources for Matrox. She initially joined Matrox in 2006 as a Legal Counsel and, as of 2008, pursued her passion for Human Resources by orienting her career in HR management. In her role, Isabelle is responsible for all HR-related functions worldwide, including recruitment, employee recognition, compensation, benefits, performance management and providing, together with her team, HR support for over 600 employees. Isabelle holds a Civil Law degree from Université de Montréal and has been a member of the Quebec Bar Association since 1995. Prior to joining Matrox, she pursued a career at the law firm Alepin Gauthier as a Civil law litigator, with a focus on Family law and Labour law. She loves to travel, explore, and discover new cities and countries with her family.

Sonia Di Sotto, Director, Legal Affairs

As Director of Legal Affairs for Matrox, Sonia oversees all legal and commercial contracts related to sales and manufacturing, including all IP matters. She has a substantial background in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial and IP agreements and provides legal advice and guidance to management on a broad range of legal matters. Sonia began her career as civil and criminal litigator in 2001 at Archambault and associates. She joined Matrox as Legal Counsel in 2004 and was appointed Senior Legal Counsel in 2015 up until she was promoted to Director, Legal Affairs in November 2020. Sonia holds a degree in Civil Law from Université de Montréal and has been a member of the Québec Bar since 2001.
