Responsibilities:
Based out of Dorval, Quebec.You will collaborate with the hardware designers and assist them in various aspects of qualification and fine-tuning of the various products in the validation phase and when they are transferred to production. Under the supervision of a hardware designer, you will be expected to:
- Perform various tests and measurements on high-speed digital and analog circuitry during the electrical qualification of prototypes and produce test reports;
- Troubleshoot products in the prototype and production phases, as well as the returned products from customers;
- Provide support on mature products;
- Find new components and test them to verify if they can be used as secondary sources;
- Write small test programs to help in the hardware validation process;
- Set-up systems in preparation of electromagnetic compliance testing;
- Prepare systems for environmental chamber testing, perform the tests and write reports;
- Verify technical manuals and datasheets for their accuracy.
Requirements:
The individual best suited for our Hardware Technician position possesses the following background and qualifications:
- DEC or AEC in electronics, computer systems or computer engineering technology
- You have an interest and ability to debug digital and analog circuitry;
- You are familiar with the use of a digital oscilloscope and a logic analyzer;
- You have a good knowledge of either C or C++ programming language;
- You have strong interpersonal skills;
- Have knowledge of PC architecture, device configuration and installation of operating systems;
- You have very good understanding of English and French, both spoken and written.
