Position Summary

Content Writers at Matrox are creative thinkers and strategic storytellers who create clear, concise content that attracts, informs, and converts audiences. Reporting to the Content Strategy Team Lead, you’ll join a close-knit team of creators to build content, help maintain content creation best practices, and craft messages that resonate and motivate our audiences. As a Content Writer at Matrox, you’ll work in an agile technical environment in a multi-disciplinary team, and collaborate with stakeholders across different departments to support a range of content projects. An expert wordsmith, you’re comfortable writing for a variety of audiences—both technical and non-technical—and excited about bringing new ideas to life.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a member of an agile team to create top of funnel and middle of funnel content
  • Write product pages in collaboration with appropriate team members and stakeholders
  • Develop and write content that aligns with specific audiences or personas, at different stages of the funnel
  • Create digital content that demonstrates our thought leadership, builds brand awareness, and drives demand generation (ex. white papers, case studies, web copy)
  • Ensure content is optimized for search, working in conjunction with SEO experts
  • Interview internal and external subject matter experts and customers
  • Maintain a consistent tone of voice across all communications
  • Help generate ideas for relevant content assets
  • Conduct interviews with stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a content writer or copywriter at a B2B technology company, or similar
  • Strong ability to write for digital formats, website
  • Strong understanding of personas and ability to connect the copy to their stages in the funnel
  • Undergraduate degree (marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field).
  • Good understanding of SEO
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts in plain language, translating features into advantages into benefits
  • Comfortable working cross functionally and in multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous and detail oriented, especially when it comes to copyediting and proofreading  
  • Excellent organization skills and self-motivated  
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Direct experience collaborating with a team throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Must be perfectly fluent in English

Assets

  • Working knowledge of French
  • Copywriting experience in an advertising or marketing-focused environment
  • Demonstrated ability to create content that improves customer conversion
  • Experience in technical writing, web usability, UX, or content design
