In Matrox Design Assistant, you can control whether certain
types of communication are online or offline. For information on
how this affects your Matrox Design Assistant project, see the
Going offline
subsection of the Communications
dropdown panel section earlier in this chapter. During runtime,
this can be done in 2 ways:
To set one or many communication channels online or offline
using the operator view, you must add a button to the operator
view. For information on how to do this, see the
Adding an element subsection of the
Elements section in
Chapter 50: Customizing the operator view. Then, from the
MANAGE ACTIONS page, enable the Communication Settings
checkbox. This allows you to configure how each communication
channel will be set when the button is pressed. As shown in the
image below, you can set each communication channel Online,
Offline, or Unchanged.
The CommSettings step allows you
to perform the same operations as the operator view action, but
through a step in the flowchart. Once you have added the step to
the flowchart, you can configure the settings for each
communication channel, as displayed in the image below.
