The following are some issues that occur when using Matrox Design Assistant connected to a PC runtime platform.
If you receive the message that Matrox Design Assistant "Cannot start the project because the environment belongs to another user", the runtime environment on your vision system is locked to another user. The DA Agent is a process that, when started, associates itself with a user. If any other user logs in while the DA Agent is running, and tries to use Matrox Design Assistant, the DA Agent notification icon will turn red. To resolve the issue, either shut down the DA Agent and log out or reboot your vision system. When you log back in, the DA Agent will restart and be locked to the current user.
If the Matrox Design Assistant notification icon in the taskbar is red (), you will not be able to connect to a platform. To address this problem, try restarting the runtime environment by right-clicking on the taskbar icon and using the presented context menu.
If a message box appears indicating that DesignAssistantAgent, DesignAssistantRuntimeMonitor, or RemoteAgent have stopped working, reboot the runtime platform. If this happens repeatedly, please contact Matrox customer support with the MILConfig utility troubleshooting logs (sysinfo.txt), plus the Windows Reliability Monitor information for any events involving Matrox Design Assistant. For information on connecting to a runtime platform, see the Connecting to a runtime platform section in Chapter 2: Building a project.
