Appendix E: Matrox Indio

This appendix details the use of the Matrox Indio board, which supports encoder input (for example, rotary encoder or linear encoder) and hardware timer output via the Advanced I/O Engine, as well as hardware assisted PROFINET. Matrox Indio architecture is very similar to Matrox 4Sight GPm, but with more auxiliary I/O signals and GigE Vision camera support. Therefore, many of the topics in the User Guide that refer to Matrox 4Sight GPm also apply to Matrox Indio.
