Matrox X.tools build 6122 for use with Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 and 1.5.1

Updates for your Matrox RT.X100 Xtreme Pro software. (April 12, 2005, 255 MB)

This is the latest release of Matrox X.tools for use with Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 and 1.5.1. Here are the main features:

All features available with the previous release of Matrox X.tools are supported with this new release, with the exception of full WYSIWYG support for Adobe Encore DVD 2.0. WYSIWYG support is provided, however, for previewing when using Adobe Premiere Pro's Export to DVD feature. WYSIWYG is also supported for Adobe Bridge.

• Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 and 1.5.1 support: This release of Matrox X.tools supports Adobe Premiere Pro version 1.5 and 1.5.1 only (the original release of Adobe Premiere Pro is not supported). It includes support for the following Adobe Premiere Pro features:
  • Scene detect and capture controls
  • Bezier keyframe support
  • Improved waveform monitor and vectorscope support
• Improved XtremePreview: Improvements have been made to XtremePreview to allow you to use different methods to preview effects on the Timeline.
• DVCPRO support: Matrox X.tools now supports capture, playback, and export of DVCPRO video clips in real time. The Matrox DVCPRO codec is also available to let you render to a Matrox Video for Windows .avi file.
• Export sequence markers for DVD authoring: When you perform a Matrox realtime export to disk to export your Adobe Premiere Pro Timeline to an .m2v file, you can now choose to export your sequence markers for use as chapter points in your Adobe Encore DVD (version 1.5) projects.
• Pinnacle and Canopus DV file compatibility: You can now play back Pinnacle and Canopus DV AVI files in real time on your Matrox RT.X100 Xtreme Pro system.
• New Matrox realtime effects: A number of new effects have been added to the Matrox realtime plug-in for Adobe Premiere Pro:
  • Lens warp effect
  • Time code effect
  • Color match effect
  • Color pass effect
  • Color replace effect
• WYSIWYG support for Adobe Encore DVD: Matrox X.tools now lets you preview your Encore DVD (version 1.5) projects on your NTSC or PAL video monitor.
• New X.tools installation options: You can now choose to remove all the Matrox Effect add-ons and WYSIWYG plug-ins when you uninstall Matrox X.tools.

Upgrading from Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 to 1.5.1

If you presently have Matrox X.tools build 6122 for use with Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 and you want to upgrade to Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.1, you do not need to download and re-install Matrox X.tools. Simply download the Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.1 Updater from the Adobe web site. If you haven't already installed Hotfix 2, you must download and install Hotfix 2 for build 6122 from the "Utilities and fixes" section before running the Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.1 Updater.

Upgrading from Adobe Premiere Pro 1.0 to 1.5.1

If you presently have Matrox X.tools build 5078 for use with Adobe Premiere Pro 1.0 and you want to upgrade to Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.1, you must first uninstall Matrox X.tools by choosing Start > Programs > Matrox X.tools > Uninstall. You must also uninstall all Matrox Effect add-ons and other RT.X software (such as the WYSIWYG plug-ins). To do this, use Add or Remove Programs in Windows Control Panel. After uninstalling your RT.X software, you must install Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 as explained in your Adobe documentation prior to installing this release of Matrox X.tools. You can also choose to run the Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.1 Updater to update your Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 to version 1.5.1. After installing Matrox X.tools, you should install Hotfix 2 for build 6122.
