Additional required software
We installed patches and drivers in the following order:
- Microsoft Service Pack 1 for Windows 2000.
- Intel's Chipset Installation Utility, version 2.80.010A, from Compaq's web site.
- Compaq onboard audio controller, version 5.12.01.3006, date: 02/13/01.
Comments
- In the system BIOS, you must set the hard drive and system timeout to never. This option is located under power\timeouts.
- The system is bundled with an Nvidia TNT2 M64 Pro. We recommend using one of the 3rd party graphic cards that have been certified.

Comments
- In the system BIOS, you must set the hard drive and system timeout to never. This option is located under power\timeouts.
- To use a non-Matrox display card on a Windows Me system, you must check your Matrox RT2500's BIOS version, and if needed, download and run the Matrox Flex 3D BIOS updater as explained in the RT2500 utilities and fixes section in the Matrox RT2500 software area.
