Matrox Video Tools 3.0 system requirements

Matrox RT2000 with Matrox Video Tools 3.0 requires the following minimum system configuration:

1. Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional (Service Pack 1 or later is recommended), Windows Me (Millennium Edition), or Windows 98 SE (Matrox Video Tools version 3.0 with Service Pack 1 or later is required for Windows 98 SE support) operating system.
2. Intel Pentium II CPU, 350 MHz or AMD Athlon CPU *.
3. Physical RAM:
   1. 256 MB physical memory (RAM) for Windows 2000 Professional or Windows Me on systems with motherboards limited to 64-MB AGP aperture.
   2. 128 MB physical memory (RAM) for Windows Me on systems with motherboards that support 128- or 256-MB AGP aperture.
4. Free PCI slot.
5. 500 MB of free space for software installation on system drive.
6. Separate hard drive for A/V content.
7. 16-bit soundcard.
8. CD-ROM drive for software installation.
9. Video camera or VCR.

Certain complex realtime effects may require a more powerful system. For optimal system performance, we recommend the following configuration:

1. Pentium III or AMD Athlon CPU, 750 MHz or faster.
2. DV video camera (to use 1394 connections).
3. NTSC or PAL video monitor.

Note: All Matrox RT2000 effects will run on a properly configured computer that meets the minimum system requirements outlined above. Some of the complex effects, however, may cause dropped frames during playback. For those cases, you can use the Force render option to ensure smooth playback without dropped frames.
