Test specifications

We at Matrox are committed to delivering digital media platforms that meet your highest expectations for quality and technical innovation.

We understand that your business relies on the quality of the images you produce. We believe that objective performance measurements are good tools to evaluate picture and sound quality. That's why every Matrox DigiSuite card is carefully tested and calibrated to ensure that it meets the toughest industry standards.

The "pedigree" report we ship with each card tells you exactly how your card performed in our production tests-not some "typical" sample card, but your card, the actual equipment you purchase. If you plan to do your own testing, we're confident that you'll get comparable results.

As numbers can say pretty much anything you want them to, we felt it was important to publish our complete test procedure. When comparing these numbers with those from our competitors, find out how they got theirs. You might be surprised!

Manufacturers can publish two types of measurements-typical or worst case. Matrox publishes worst-case measurements. That means that our numbers don't always look as good on paper, but you know that the card you're getting outperforms the advertised numbers. Most of our competitors publish typical values. The variation among cards is, therefore, purposely left out of the picture. The advertised numbers look good, but the card you end up with is likely to give you poorer results.

Ultimately, you'll be the judge.
