Matrox Axio.utils version 2.5

Matrox Axio.utils version 2.5 provides the following new features:

• Native .mxf file support for Panasonic P2, Sony XDCAM, and Sony XDCAM HD in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Support for Matrox HDV files and Matrox Flex CPU effects in Adobe After Effects.
• Support for creating 720p projects at the following frame rates: 23.98, 25, 29.97, 50, and 59.94. This includes HDV and DVCPRO HD support.
• Panasonic VariCam capture for 720p @ 23.98 fps and 25 fps projects.
• Improved HDV editing performance by creating an HDV 1080i (1440× 1080) project that includes only HDV clips.
• Realtime playback of Adobe native HDV files (.mpeg) and Focus Enhancements FireStore HDV files (.m2t).
• Realtime mixing of additional compression formats, file formats, and resolutions on the timeline, such as .mxf (Panasonic P2, XDCAM, or XDCAM HD), .mpeg, .m2t, and downscaling 1080i clips in an SD project.
• Matrox EZ-MXF utility for native .mxf file support in Video for Windows (VFW) applications.
• New "+ Alpha" Matrox VFW codecs that let you render compositions and animations that have an alpha channel to a Matrox uncompressed or MPEG-2 I-frame .avi file that includes the alpha-key information (HD or SD resolution).
• Utility for converting a 32-bit .tga sequence to a single .avi file with alpha for realtime playback on your Axio system.
• Thumbnail previews and additional file details for clips in Windows Explorer and Adobe Premiere Pro.
• WYSIWYG video output for Adobe Bridge, Windows Media Player, and other DirectShow-based applications.
• Improved color correction tools, including better color wheel and color picker precision, a new split view, and a luminance slider for each tonal range.
• Eight new Matrox realtime/accelerated effects: crystallize, cube, impressionist, lens flare, move & scale, old movie, ripple, and twirl.

Installation instructions

To install this version of Matrox Axio.utils, you must first uninstall any previous version of Matrox Axio.utils by choosing Start > All Programs > Matrox Axio.utils > Uninstall Matrox Axio.utils. You must also choose to remove the Matrox effect patterns when prompted.

Important: Before installing Matrox Axio.utils version 2.5, you must install Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 on an NTFS-formatted drive.

After installing Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0, you should install any other third-party programs for which you want to install the Matrox WYSIWYG plug-in, such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, and eyeon Fusion.
