Download update to Matrox Mx.tools 4.1
This software update is provided only for users that are presently running Matrox Mx.tools 4.0.1. It requires you to uninstall your Mx.tools 4.0.1 software, but you must keep the Matrox effect patterns (GFX files). The Matrox 4.0.1 effect patterns are compatible with the Mx.tools 4.1 software.
Install Matrox Mx.tools 4.1
- Uninstall your Mx.tools 4.0.1 software (choose Start > All Programs > Matrox Mx.tools > Uninstall Matrox Mx.tools). Important: When prompted, do not choose to remove the Matrox effect patterns.
- If you haven't already done so, update your Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 software to version 4.1, and install any third-party programs for which you want to install the Matrox WYSIWYG plug-in.
- Download the following file: RTX2_41Update.exe (114 MB).
Internet Explorer users: When server traffic is heavy, you may be prompted to enter your user name and password to connect to the Matrox FTP server. This indicates that the maximum connection limit to the server has been reached. If this happens, click Cancel in the displayed dialog box, and then try the download again later.
- Run the downloaded file to unzip the contents to a folder of your choice on your hard drive (the default folder is C:\RTX2_41Update).
- Run the unzipped RtxSetup.exe file and choose Install Matrox Mx.tools from the Matrox RT.X2 menu.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to install Matrox Mx.tools 4.1 (the installation of the Matrox effect patterns will be skipped).
