Sonic Solutions DVDit! LE

(Version 2.5.4, Build 59993D, August 27, 2002)

Sonic Solutions DVDit! LE version 2.5.4 is now available. It contains the following changes when compared to version 2.5.1:

• DVD+R support. You can now write projects to DVD+R discs.
• Mono audio files are now rejected properly.
• DVDit! can now be used by a limited user account under Windows XP.
• "Test" and "Test and Create" modes are no longer available when writing to devices that do not support test modes (such as DVD+RW drives).
• There is no longer a problem with playing back individual movies in the timeline.

Inscriber TitleExpress 1.5

(March 15, 2002)

A new version of the Inscriber TitleExpress software is available to registered RT users as a free download.

New features in TitleExpress 1.5 include:

• Enable or disable text wrap
• Left, right, and center justification
• Update template text and save to the Template Manager
• Update text styles and save to the Style Manager Library
• Enable or disable the video background using a shortcut key
• De-interlacing improves video background preview quality in TitleExpress interface
• An icg file can now be loaded, modified, and saved as a new file to help create a consistent look to all your titles

Fixes included in this release:

• Importing the same .icg twice in a project folder no longer causes a corruption. (Ref# 25538)
• Inscriber/CG no longer appears when starting up TitleExpress. (Ref# 24360)
• Using a backslash in the file name of a TitleExpress .icg will no longer crash TE and Premiere. (Ref# 25466)
• TitleExpress will now install properly if Adobe Online is not installed from the Premiere CD. (Ref# 23387)

Installation instructions:

1. Download the following file:
   TitleExpress_1.5_Final.exe (20 MB)
   Netscape users Hold down the Shift key while selecting a file to download. This will allow you to specify a save path.
2. Double-click the file and follow onscreen instructions.

Matrox Video for Windows (VFW) software codecs

(January 11, 2002)

Install this software to render and play back RT2500-compatible .avi files using a Video for Windows program on a computer with no RT2500 hardware installed.

1. Download the following file to a directory of your choice:
   VFWSoftwareCodec.zip (2.8 MB)
   Netscape users Hold down the Shift key while selecting a file to download. This will allow you to specify a save path.
2. Once the files have been extracted, go to their folder and run Setup.exe. Follow the onscreen instructions.

Ligos LSX-MPEG LE for Adobe Premiere

(Version 1.5 updater, November 16, 2001)

Ligos LSX-MPEG LE version 1.5 updater is now available. It contains some improvements in MPEG encoding video quality, along with other minor bug fixes. You must have the previous LSX-MPEG LE version 1.2 installed on your system to run the updater. No serial number will be required.

1. Download the following file:
   LSX-MPEG_LE_1.5_Update.exe (2.6 MB)
   Netscape users Hold down the Shift key while selecting a file to download. This will allow you to specify a save path.
2. Double-click the file to install it.
