(February 6, 2002)Matrox Video Tools 3.1b introduces several new fixes and enhancements to your Matrox RT system. These include multi-language support, the ability to switch between hardware and software-based DV rendering, independent display drivers, and a new audio mixer.

Matrox Video Tools version 3.1b has been tested and approved for use with Windows XP, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows Me, and Windows 98 SE.Required software
If you are using DVDit! LE, you will need DVDit! LE version 2.3.3 or later to run with Matrox Video Tools version 3.1b. Note that DVDit! LE version 2.5.1 is now available. Click here for more info.Installation instructions
The installation instructions for Windows XP and Windows 98 SE systems can be found in the Release Notes. The installation instructions for Windows 2000 and Me systems can be found in the RT2500 Installation & User Guide. PDF versions of these documents are available from our RT2500 documents page.If you already have Matrox Video Tools 3.1 or a beta version of the 3.1b updater installed, you can choose to install only the 3.1 to 3.1b updater without removing your current version of Matrox Video Tools.
- Download the following file: 3.1_to_3.1b_updater.exe (3.1 MB)
Netscape users Hold down the Shift key while selecting a file to download. This will allow you to specify a save path. - Double-click the file and follow the onscreen instructions.
Note The full release version of Matrox Video Tools 3.1b is 250.6 MB in size, which will require many hours to download if you don't have high-speed Internet access. It's available as one large downloadable file or several split files you can download and then reassemble with a supplied batch file.

Caution - before you download!
- If you have a previous version of the Matrox Video Tools software installed on your system, uninstall it before installing this release. To do this, choose Start > Programs > Matrox Video Tools > Uninstall.
- Once you complete the download, the resulting file is compressed as a zip archive, with subfolders stored in the file. In order to run Matrox Video Tools Setup, you must make sure the folders are recreated when you extract the files. For example, if you use the program WinZip in "Classic" mode, make sure the Use folder names checkbox is selected in the Extract dialog box before you extract the files.

(November 5, 2001)Matrox Video Tools 3.1 has now been fully tested and approved with Windows XP (see installation instructions here). Matrox Video Tools 3.1 introduces several new enhancements to your Matrox RT system. Service Pack 1 for Matrox Video Tools 3.0
(August 24, 2001)The Service Pack 1 updater for Matrox Video Tools version 3.0 provides a number of updates to Matrox Video Tools, including Windows 98 SE support, Intel® Pentium® 4 support, and new colorization settings. There are also a number of fixes included in this Service Pack. For a complete list of these fixes, installation instructions, plus any other last-minute information, see the Release Notes.
Note Matrox Video Tools version 3.1 includes all these features and fixes, so there is no need to install this service pack if you are installing Matrox Video Tools 3.1.
