The storage subsystems in the table below have been tested to help you determine whether they will meet your throughput needs when used with Matrox-based editing systems.

Note that these are general guidelines only because many variables influence throughput including the number of video layers (files) on the timeline, driver versions, heat, simultaneous programs running in the background such as anti-virus and network monitors, and many other factors. If you are working with compressed video, often the storage subsystem is not the gating item, but rather the CPU itself will reach its limit decompressing multiple layers simultaneously.
