Matrox X.mio3 IP is a half-height, half-length PCI Express card that offers multi-channel video I/O over 10 GbE plus onboard compositing, de-interlacing and up/down/cross scaling to free up CPU and GPU resources. It provides IP encapsulation of HD, 3G and 4K video for all IP transport protocols including ST 2022-6, ST 2110, ST 2-022-7, ASPEN and Sony IP as well as support for an array of compression technologies including J2K, Sony LLVC and TICO to ensure interoperability with upstream and downstream equipment. Video-aware clocking guarantees non-bursty transmissions without CPU involvement. Built-in watchdog circuitry and intelligent IP bypass provide fail-safe mechanisms. Support for analog blackburst, and ST 2059 offers genlock flexibility.

Along with up to 12 reconfigurable SDI I/Os, support for SD, HD, 3G and 12G SDI, these cards feature advanced video processing such as high-quality motion adaptive de-interlacing, up/down/cross scaling, video compositing and audio mixing to help off load the CPU and GPU resources. The hardware components share a memory-centric architecture that provides high-speed transfers of video, audio and graphics data between I/O peripherals, co-processors, the CPU and host memory. Built-in frame synchronization for each video input and fail-safe capabilities add the reliability to be able to deal with any signal or harsh environment that your solution might face.

Matrox hardware-based H.264 codec cards provide multi-channel encoding/decoding in pristine quality and exceptional performance for Baseline to High 10 Intra profiles up to Level 5.2. In 4:2:2 10-bit, these cards can encode/decode up to three streams of 4Kp60 or 30 streams of HD; and in 4:2:0 8-bit, up to 48 streams of HD. Develop high-quality encoding and decoding applications up to 4K/UHD, for on-premises as well as cloud-based deployments throughout the broadcast chain with the Matrox DSX software development kit.
