Multi-Channel Multi-Format I/O Cards
Matrox delivers a full range of PCIe I/O cards that are designed for optimal performance, flexibility and scalability. High-density SDI cards provide up to 12 reconfigurable SDI inputs and outputs for SD through 4K/UHD. Multi-channel video I/O over 10GbE cards provide IP encapsulation of HD, 3G and 4K video for all IP transport protocols. Built-in watchdog circuitry and intelligent SDI or IP bypass provide fail-safe mechanisms in broadcast workflows. Onboard DMA engines transfer data without CPU intervention. Some cards feature onboard compositing, de-interlacing and up/down/cross scaling to free up CPU and GPU resources.
H.264 Encoders and Decoders
Matrox’s latest PCIe encoder/decoder card is ideal for broadcast distribution, contribution and production systems such as video servers, IP multi-viewers, high-density media encoders, transcoders and render farms for SD to 4K. It features an onboard codec that offers unprecedented multi-channel H.264 4:2:2 10-bit encoding/decoding density, quality and performance, and supports profiles from Baseline to High 10 Intra up to Level 5.2. Multi-channel high quality motion-adaptive de-interlacing and up/down/cross scaling allow content to be repurposed into any resolution before encoding or after decoding, which is particularly beneficial for OTT workflows. Sony XAVC and Panasonic AVC-Ultra formats are supported with real-time encoding and decoding for 4K Intra class.
