Matrox® to Feature SMPTE 2110 on X.mio3 IP at NAB 2017

MONTREAL – March 28, 2017 — Matrox® today unveiled its innovative OEM product and technology lineup for NAB 2017 (Las Vegas, NV. Apr 24-27, 2017), with a focus on support for the latest SMPTE standards for IP workflows and overall technological interoperability.
X.mio3 IP: SMPTE 2110 Support
At the IP showcase (Booth: N4824)—in conjunction with the Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS)—the Matrox X.mio3 IP multi-channel video I/O over 10 GbE card will be demonstrating its support for both the emerging ST 2110 and 2022-7 standards for use of IP in live production.
The Matrox X.mio3 IP offers multi-channel, IP-encapsulated HD, 3G and 4K video I/O, support for all IP transport protocols including ST 2110, ST 2022-7, ST 2022-6, ASPEN and Sony® IP as well as support for an array of compression technologies including J2K, Sony LLVC and TICO, plus hardware based IP packetization, onboard de-interlacing, scaling and compositing to free up CPU cycles, all packed into a single half-height, half-length PCI card.

Matrox X.mio3 12G – Multi-channel 12G SDI with onboard 4K video processing and HD simulcast: Allowing broadcast equipment manufacturers to deploy single-cable SDI solutions for 4K production, the half-length X.mio3 12G PCI Express® card offers two 12G SDI inputs, two 12G SDI outputs, and two reconfigurable 3G SDI I/Os allowing for 4K and HD simulcast for broadcast production. Multi-channel hardware processing accelerates computation-intensive operations including up/down/cross scaling and compositing for resolutions up-to-4K.
Matrox M264 family – Unprecedented density and quality boost for H.264 encoding and decoding: A family of PCI Express® cards featuring hardware-based multi-channel 4:2:0 8-bit and 4:2:2 10-bit H.264 encoding, decoding and transcoding capabilities. With up to three channels of 4Kp60 XAVC (Sony XAVC and Panasonic AVC-Ultra mezzanine codecs) encoding/decoding in a single-slot card, the M264 family enables OEMs to provide multi-channel 4K production servers in a PC platform.
