Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.1 Updater

The Matrox RT.X software download of X.tools build 6122 includes the Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.1 Updater, which you can run to update your Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 to version 1.5.1. This new version of Adobe Premiere Pro provides increased performance with Matrox RT.X, and includes support for the HDV format.

With Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.1, you can use your Matrox RT.X system to edit HDV projects in software-only mode (you will not be able to edit in HDV when the editing mode for your project is set to Matrox RT.X). You can, however, use the 1394 port on your Matrox RT.X card for HDV acquisition and output.

Once you've installed Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5, you can run the Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.1 Updater by choosing Run Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.1 Updater from the Matrox RT.X menu. You can do this either before or after installing Matrox X.tools.

Remarks

  • HDV editing is done using Adobe software only (there is no acceleration by your Matrox RT.X card).
  • HDV playback is viewable only on your computer monitor. There is no WYSIWYG output to a video monitor.
  • When editing on Matrox RT.X, realtime inputs, outputs, plug-ins, and effects are available in SD resolution only.
