Utilities and fixes to help you get the most out of your Matrox RT.X100 Xtreme.

Note: These updates are required only if you have installed X.tools build 5078 for use with Adobe Premiere Pro (as these updates are already included in later versions of X.tools).

Hotfix 2 for use with Matrox X.tools build 6122

(February 11, 2005)

Note: This hotfix includes all fixes provided with Hotfix 1 for use with Matrox X.tools build 6122.

The main features provided by this hotfix are:

  • Several opacity issues with effects have been resolved.
  • Increased performance when playing back the timeline, scrubbing, and performing realtime exports to disk or tape.
  • Issues while working with Adobe Photoshop (.psd) files have been resolved.
  • Improvements to network editing. You are no longer required to map network drives to edit video and graphics files in real time over a network when using the Matrox RT.X hardware.
  • You will no longer receive a "Bit rate too high" message when using Adobe Encore DVD with .m2v files that you export from the timeline with sequence markers. This issue is resolved for files exported on a system with this hotfix only. The warning message will still be issued when working with previously created .m2v files.

安装步骤:

You can install this hotfix on a system that has Matrox X.tools build 6122 with or without Hotfix 1. There is no need to uninstall Matrox X.tools build 6122 with Hotfix 1.

  1. Download the following file: RTX_HotFix2.exe (8.2 MB)
  2. Double-click the downloaded file to run it.

Notes

  • This hotfix is required if you want to install Service Pack 2 for Windows XP. It has been validated and approved for use on a Windows XP system with Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2.
  • To uninstall this hotfix, you'll have to uninstall and then re-install Matrox X.tools build 6122.

Hotfix 1 for use with Matrox X.tools build 6122

(September 10, 2004)

This hotfix is required if you want to install Service Pack 2 for Windows XP. The main features provided by this hotfix are:

  • A reduction in the frequency of the "Updating Timeline" message.
  • Improved overall system stability.
  • Improved responsiveness of the Matrox Effect Setup dialog box (for example, the dialog box pops up quicker, and it takes less time to switch from one page to another).
  • You can now select an Adobe preset to work completely in an Adobe Premiere Pro environment (that is, you can use Premiere Pro as if the RT.X card was not installed).
  • On a Japanese system, the realtime export to disk feature is now working correctly, and you can select and clear the "Always output to 1394" option.

  1. Download the following file: RTX_HotFix1.exe (7.9 MB)
  2. Double-click the downloaded file, and follow the onscreen instructions.

Notes

  • This hotfix has been validated and approved for use on a Windows XP system with Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2.
  • To uninstall this hotfix, you'll have to uninstall and then re-install Matrox X.tools build 6122.
