Creating sequences of effects
using the razor tool
Printer-friendly version (119 KB)
Complex sequences of realtime effects can be created by splitting a clip. You can split a clip on the Timeline by using the razor tool to apply two different effects that can't normally be applied to a single clip. This differs from keyframing an effect, which lets you change an effect's settings over time. For more information on keyframing effects, see Customizing your effects using keyframes.
This tutorial shows you how to use the razor tool on a graphics clip to apply a page curl and particle effect to the clip in real time.
