Choosing an HDMI monitor
Matrox MXO2's HDMI output provides 1:1 pixel mapping for accurate monitoring on HDMI monitors and televisions. Therefore, when choosing an HDMI monitor for use with Matrox MXO2, the monitor should support an input resolution of 1920x1080. If you want 1:1 pixel mapping, you should purchase a monitor that supports an aspect ratio of 1:1, also known as "dot-by-dot" mode, on the HDMI input. In "dot-by-dot" mode, the monitor displays your output at its exact resolution, without any scaling. For example, if your monitor supports a resolution of 1920x1080, and your output's resolution is 1280x720, your output will appear as a rectangle within the 1920x1080 display, surrounded by black bars on all four sides. If the monitor does not support "dot-by-dot" mode, your output may be resized.
