Adobe After Effects 6.0 plug-in This version of the DigiSuite plug-in for Adobe After Effects is required to support After Effects version 6.0. For details on how to use the plug-in, see your Matrox DigiSuite MAX User Guide. Download the following file to your Adobe After Effects Plug-ins folder on your computer (for example, c:\Program Files\Adobe\After Affects 6.0\Support Files\Plug-ins). When prompted, choose Yes to overwrite the existing file.

Setup issues with the DigiSuite plug-in

The most common setup issue is forgetting to set your video display source in the DigiSuite Configuration program to "Graphic keyed over video" or "Graphic keyed over black" so that the plug-in displays the output on your NTSC or PAL video monitor. For more setup information, see the "Enhancements to Adobe After Effects" chapter of the DigiSuite MAX User Guide.

Rendering tips

When rendering using the Matrox VFW codecs, your composition settings should be as follows:

On DigiSuite LE MAX

NTSC: 720x486, 29.97 frames per second; Interpret Footage settings at Lower Field First.
PAL: 720x576, 25 frames per second; Interpret Footage settings at Upper Field First.

• Make sure that you clear the option for "Data Rate: 300 KB/sec."
• To play back Matrox VFW clips in real time using Adobe Premiere or Speed Razor on DigiSuite LE MAX, you must select the option "Frame-based clips (film transfer & VFW)" in your Project Settings.

On DigiSuite DTV MAX or DigiSuite LX MAX

NTSC: 720x480, 29.97 frames per second; Interpret Footage settings at Lower Field First.
PAL: 720x576, 25 frames per second; Interpret Footage settings at Upper Field First.
