To: All Matrox Meteor customers

The Philips SAA7196 video decoder used on all versions of the Meteor frame grabber is at an end of life. As a result, Matrox is retiring the Meteor product family as of January 1st, 2000. No new purchase orders will be accepted as of December 31st, 1999. Matrox will, however, continue to support all registered Meteor customers and offer repair services for all Meteor boards. In light of this information, customers of the Meteor are encouraged to migrate to the appropriate Meteor-II frame grabber board.
