IEEE 1394 is a standard that specifies a digital serial interface and interconnect for consumer electronic devices and computer peripherals. This high-speed link supports
data transfer rates of 100, 200 and 400 Mbps (12.5, 25 and 50 Mbytes/sec), meeting the bandwidth demands of typical video resolutions and frame rates.
