Matrox Imaging releases intuitive smart camera / software package for machine vision

August 7, 2007, Montreal, Canada - Matrox Imaging is pleased to announce the Matrox Iris E-Series with Design Assistant, a powerful smart camera/software package. "The Matrox E-Series with Design Assistant allows OEMs and systems integrators to develop vision and imaging applications without programming," says Fabio Perelli, Product Manager, Matrox Imaging. "The launch of Matrox Design Assistant marks a new era in the delivery of our software products and will bring machine vision to a wider audience."

The Matrox Design Assistant interface

Matrox Iris

The Matrox Design Assistant interface draws on Matrox Imaging's two-decade history of imaging software experience. In the Matrox Design Assistant environment, users create a flow chart of the application that instructs the Matrox Iris E-Series camera to grab, process and display, perform measurements, analyze image data, read machine codes, and more. The intuitive nature of the Matrox Iris E-Series with Design Assistant eliminates the need for programming and scripting. Users benefit from simplified application development that offers the same reliability and robustness as the field-proven Matrox Imaging Library. The development environment is fully self-contained for both application development and deployment, and the integrated HTML editor and layout tool gives users the flexibility to create a custom web-based operator view for monitoring the application.
