Matrox Morphis acquisition card supports PCI Express®

May 8, 2006, Birmingham, United Kingdom - Today at the IFSEC 2006 show, Matrox Imaging is announcing that PCI Express® is now supported on the Matrox Morphis family of video capture cards. "Offering PCI Express® to our customers will allow them to take advantage of new and future generations of PCs," says Fabio Perelli, Product Manager, Matrox Imaging.

The PCI Express® versions are the Matrox Morphis eDual and Morphis eQuad, which operate on a two- and four-decoder architecture, respectively; both feature a x1 PCIe® implementation. All Morphis family boards capture from NTSC, PAL, RS-170 and CCIR video sources; the Morphis eDual and Morphis eQuad, support ultra-fast channel switching between up to sixteen live video streams.
