The Matrox VPX-IN/VID-8 is capable of capturing up to 8 channels of s-video or composite analog signals in NTSC, PAL or SECAM. The VPX-INVID-8 is a single slot PCI-X add-in board that features high-speed link ports for connectivity to VPX-OUT add-in boards enabling system-independent data transfers between the capture and the output boards. Based on Matrox cutting edge acquisition IP on top of a Matrox designed 4-port high-speed bridge, the VPX-IN/VID-8 is capable of processing, packetizing and transmitting all channels, in real-time, to an adjacent VPX-OUT4 or VPX-OUT8 output board.
