| RoHS version of Matrox Display Wall Controllers now available Montreal, Canada, August 14th, 2006 — Matrox Graphics, Inc., the leading manufacturer of graphics solutions for professionals, today announced that RoHS versions of all Display Wall controllers are now available. The RoHS directive restricts the sale of electrical and electronic equipment containing lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBB, and PBDE. The most commonly used of these restricted substances is lead which is used in the soldering of many printed-circuit boards. Matrox was dedicated to meeting the requirements of this directive and is proud to announce that all skus have been transitioned to RoHS. This involved the replacing of certain components and manufacturing processes to eliminate or reduce the use of restricted substances. Unless otherwise indicated, corresponding products transitioned to RoHS are functionally equivalent to the originally manufactured products. Matrox has taken care to maintain the specifications of RoHS transitioned products. To simplify the transition for our customers, we simply added an "F" (as in "Free of hazardous substances") at the end of the part numbers of RoHS-compliant products. Availability Non-RoHS products continue to be available for territories that have not yet implemented RoHS-like directives. RoHS versions are available now.
