Expand Your Desktop
Matrox products support multiple monitor setups—dual, triple, quad, and beyond—so adding displays is as easy as connecting additional monitors.
Adding Displays Via Graphics Cards
If you already have a card that supports multiple monitors in your system, to add a display in Microsoft® Windows:
- Right-click the desktop background
- Select Properties > Settings
- Click "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor"
If your system doesn't have an extra monitor connector but does have available expansion slots, you can add multiple monitor support by inserting one or more graphics cards.
Upgrading Laptops to Multi-Display
To add support for an extra monitor without adding or replacing a graphics card, you can use Matrox Graphics eXpansion Modules (GXMs)—small, external boxes that connect to the monitor connector of your computer and divides the signal for two or three separate monitors. GXMs uses your system's existing graphics hardware, and are ideal for adding an extra displays to closed, already validated systems or to computers with no available expansion slots.
