The Matrox TripleHead2Go is a small external box that works in conjunction with your existing graphics card. It allows you to easily connect three monitors to your desktop or laptop using only a single VGA or Dual-Link DVI port. This device is not a "splitter"—it outputs a unified ultra-widescreen resolution and displays this resolution (combined and un-stretched) across your three connected monitors.

This technology permits resolutions up to 3840x1024 (5040x1050 with Digital Edition), offering more pixel real-estate than any single panel on the market today. Such a large resolution has its obvious benefits for desktop and productivity applications in terms of multi-tasking and window visibility, but the real fun comes when using this setup for gaming.

By allowing a full-screen DirectX or OpenGL application to run across three displays simultaneously, the TripleHead2Go creates an immersive effect that cannot be achieved with a single display—it takes gaming and simulation software to a whole new level.
